Hi I’m Haley!

I’m a 25 year old from the United States. I found my passion for traveling at a very young age when I started hearing about my parents’ (A flight attendant and professional high ropes course developer) stories from all of their travels throughout their lives. At 11 I started asking my mom if I could go places alone (to meet up with friends or family in other states) and it really just snowballed from there. At 16 I went to Hawaii by myself, and by 18 I was traveling out of the country alone. At 24 I quit my 9-5 office job to travel the world, and at 25 I have been fortunate enough to Feed Elephants in Thailand, hike a glacier in New Zealand, search for the Loch Ness monster in Scotland, go wine tasting in Italy, live out my Mama Mia dreams in Greece and so much more! My favorite part about traveling is learning about new cultures, finding new adventures, and filling my memory with new experiences. The feeling of wonder and excitement that I experience every time I visit somewhere new inspires me. I am constantly marveling at the beauty of our world and the variety of cultures that exist within it.This sense of wonder is what motivates me to continue exploring. I am always seeking out new places to visit and new experiences to have. I am driven by my curiosity and my desire to learn more about the world around me.

I wanted to create this blog to help others travel and hopefully share some knowledge that I have learned over that past decade, and continue to learn and share for decades to come. This desire to share is what inspired the name Frugal Internationals, I want others to know that I did not come from a rich family, nor am I getting paid to travel. I make frugal decisions in my everyday life and especially while traveling, which has allowed me these experiences, and you can too!
